Opportunity for Local Independent Artists

Kia ora everyone,

Heart Music Group is looking for independent recording artists across NZ and AU with professionally recorded original music . We’re passionate about getting more local music heard in everyday spaces, and we’re opening up a small pilot programme to test direct retail licensing. This means licensing our music outside of the dominant APRA, RMNZ/PPCA (OneMusic) licensing model. We’re looking to take on 20-30 hardworking artists who already have high-quality recordings ready to go who are ready to stand with us and do things a bit differently.

The Vision

When someone walks into a local shop, they shouldn’t hear just another generic overseas playlist.
They should hear local music, your music.

What You’ll Get

Paid opportunity: If your music is placed, you’ll receive licensing payments directly.
You keep all of your rights and have full control of your music outside of the retail and background music licensing we are doing.
Clear terms: You’ll see the full agreement before signing anything.

We already have Retail NZ on board, and we’ll be building more partners as we go.
